The town of Chania, with the influences of the invasions, brings together the eastern aesthetic with the Venetian finesse! Along your walk you will come across with some souvenir shops, restaurants, cafeterias and museums. Moving to the inside of the town, you will find more stores, parks, the big Market (Agora Market) with all the traditional elements that you are looking for and lots of places where you can eat Greek souvlaki! Only 15 minutes away from Chania, there are plenty of beaches to choose, touristic destinations and a night life that you will remember for years. Chania is a town of diversity, where you can find a piece of yourself, no matter your preferences. Just ask us and we will guide you!

taste

Dining was always a ritual for Greeks, this is why every place has its own flavours. In Chania you will find traditional flavors and a hospitable environment. Mediterranean Cuisine with raw material and local ingredients is the main theme of our restaurants. Don’t hesitate to try Boureki, Snails, Ntako, Tsigariasto and Kalitsounia with honey. And remember…Cretans talk better when they eat and drink raki, so expect to hear some amazing stories! If you choose to visit some of the villages, like Sfakia and Sougia, you will also have a glimpse of Cretan people, dressed with Crete’s traditional attire.

swim

A few minutes away from the town, in Agia Marina and Platanias, you will find many organized beaches to choose, with bars, restaurants and water sports. A local’s perspective would differ from these touristic places though. Moving to Akrotiri, you will find beaches with an exceptional scenery, surrounded with mountains and wild nature, with deep blue waters, like Stavros beach and Seitan Limania. And, of course, you can’t come to Chania and not swim at Elafonisi, an exotic, pink sand beach with green waters and at Balos, a lagoon with white sand, turquoise, shallow and warm waters.

shop

Chania has nothing to envy from any other European city when it comes to shopping. Top brands, big stores, outlets and vintage shops have their place in Chania. Walk in the Old town’s alleys and find little “treasures” to take back home. Pick unique and handmade pieces and surprise your beloved ones. Enter the Agora Market and choose among Cretan Herbs, soaps with olive oil, tea spoon desserts, Cretan traditional knives and home remedies. Visit the souvenir shop, just below your house, and buy whatever will make you remember your trip forever!
